We didnt fight any Macedonians in 1904 we only fought Bulgarians. There were no Macedonians in Balkan wars only Greek regiments baring that name.

Bulgarians had the same regional Macedonian identity as Greeks, or even stronger.

Major towns in Macedonia were Greek speaking including during 1821 + 1854 uprising in Macedonia + 1897 Greco Turkish war this includes Monastiri, Korytsa, Gevgelia and Doiran... let alone North Epirus and East Rumelia which was exclusive Greek.

Greek patriarchate did some funny business too. If they stuck around they would have turned people into Greeks over night.

In 1821 and 1854 and 1897 wars there were no Slavic speakers in Macedonia - Slavic speakers came with Excharte and all its Bulgarian schools and churches.

Thats what San Stefano was all about.
