After watching again Venezuelan links and comparing It to your thread of phenotypes in Mérida state I believe the crowds I posted look somehow very similar.
I don't see a significant amount of SSA admixed people at all what I see are mostly birracial mestizos and harnizos plus few whites/euromestizo here and there.
For real, I haven't seen a single mulatto, yet I've seen good amount of trirracial people, like 1/5 of the people.

Instead of Mérida which other state/city would you recommend me to take a look?

Well yeah, there are almost no griffes, mulattoes or anything like that, but some few triracials here and there, but still more than what I would expect, but still very minority. I would say the crowds from Merida are mostly representative, except for those few triracials that I didn't expect to see.

I would recomend Caracas and states from the northern Central regions, like Miranda, Aragua and Carabobo. And I would also recomend Zulia, Lara and the Venezuelan llanos.

From the Venezuelan Andes, I would also recomend Tachira and Trujillo.

Edit:I just checked the pics again, and where I see too many SSA admixed people (even some griffes) for what I would expect from Merida, is in the second pic in the plaza de toros.

The first picture is definitively much more representative than the second one.

De todas maneras puedes buscar tu escribiendo "gigapan..." Y continuación el nombre del equipo que quieras o el estadio donde juegan, te saldrán varias panoramicas

I was in Brazil for a month last year and, in my experience, the two groups are very similar (with the main difference being more "extremes" in Brazil).
