She could but would be more typical in Spain imo. I doudbt there is anyone from our countries that can't actually pass in the other, however atypical, at least by my concept of passing, which is imagining meeting people in some remote interior village, not some touristic centre of a big city. It would still be interesting to start a thread on this subject though.
