Wilniuks: Northeastern Borderlanders

Wilniuks are part of the greater North Kresy Polish ethnic subdivisions (Northeast Borderlanders, inhabiting what is now Southern Lithuania, Southern Latvia (Livonia), and NW Belarus. Introducing discussion on the topic as there is not As much out there on these as other Polish subdivisions. These Poles will be mainly a mix of N.E Poles (mostly Masovians)+local elements (Baltic and East Slavic). My own Polish side came from towns just outside of the city of Myadel, Belarus, today on the northern edge of Belarus' Minsk province, so I have a good bit of interest myself and would like to learn more.

Also, I have been going back and forth on 23andMe with a relative in Latvia of partial Polish descent- we've both narrowed down our mutual relations to the little town of Filipki, Belarus (meaning, we both had prior knowledge of roots in that town and confirmed our relation). She doesn't seem to really know more about our deeper roots than I do, stating more recent political events and record-burning having hidden a lot of information and family records. Just wanted to add that, as it's generally fascinating to me and relevant. My side obviously immigrated to the States (around 1910) and her side continued moving around as well in Europe.
