I don’t think he looks like me at all. My face shape is different, doesn’t have very prominent cheekbones, his nose is way more covex and different, eyes different but I guess similar... but even that not quite. But interesting observation, I could be wrong... but I hope my observations are right cause he isn’t very appealing

I just picked 4 players out of Italy's team in the UEFA Euro 2020 qualifiers. There were also players who looked equally dark in their photo but who I think were not foreign, and there were other players who were morphologically woggier.
Some of the players like Donnarumma just had a tan in their photo, and I don't think skin color is such a good measure of wogginess. Factors like the height of the orbits and pretarsal show are also important.

Certainly not representative of Italy as a whole.

My frendo Enzo Immanenzi asked me to also compare the Spanish team.
As expected, Spain looks lighter than Italy overall. However the photos of different teams were taken under different conditions, which might have made Italy look darker-skinned than Spain.
There's likely more players with a foreign background in either the Spanish or Italian team, but I didn't bother looking up the background of all players, but I just quickly went through the Wikipedia pages of a minority of players. Mikel Oyarzabal is Basque.
Like in the case of Italy, I determined darkness based on a single photo, so it's not very accurate.
I determined "morphological wogginess" largely based on the eye area, or based on factors like pretarsal show and canthal tilt.

I guess they are from the south? Italians from Triveneto are less 'woggy', more continental European looking.
