    Darker (and exotic) than expected.

It would be interesting to see their DNA results.

It is not possible, most of them are dead ...
I can have the DNA of my cousin, but her parents are dead (they were born in 1925), as for the DNA of her brothers and sisters, that would have no interest insofar as they would have more or less similar results to my cousin.

I do not like this kind of picture because I can not verify that is truly native who is not.

So I prefer to post pictures of my cousins, linked to a genealogy that I have available.

One of her brothers was blond with blue eyes though, but in an old photo it isn't obvious, so I guess if you are not light blonde then a black and white photo can very easily mislead the "commodity".

I invite you on this link, to see the difference: it is not huge
    https://www.theapricity.com/forum/sh...ronne-and-Tarn

Most of these people (from Tarn and Haute-Garonne) in the photos could easily pass as "native" (even if they are not), phenotypically speaking, of Gouy-Saint-André and Saint-Rémy-au-Bois. Which might surprise English or German people, but not really people who live there.

It should also be noted that the older generation had more robust features than the current generation, which have softer (and more effeminate) features.

My maternal great-great-grandfather, originally from Courcelles-lès-Lens, could pass as a native of Tarn (South-West, non-Basque part) and my friend's maternal grandfather could pass as a native of Courcelles-lès-Lens (Picardy); without saying that they are identical, they are almost interchangeable.

    Don't quote

My maternal great-great-grandfather (native to Courcelles-lès-Lens, Picardie):

Friend's maternal grandfather (fully native to Tarn)
