Even in the 21th century, Serbs still have very big complexes towards Bulgaria and Bulgarians. It comes from the fact that Medieval Serbia was always insignificant on the Balkans and it was always vasal state of Bulgaria or part of Bulgaria.

When we look at history, Serbia was powerful only when the surrounding countries were weak. Like in the 14th century when they finally managed to create an "empire", while the Byzantine empire and Bulgaria were busy with the Turkish invasion.

Another complex is that in the end of the 19th century, Serbia realized that the unification of Bulgaria would be much easier as all Bulgarian territories were part of the collpasing Ottoman empire, while most of the real serb ethnic lands were part of Austria-Hungary. That's why they decided to steal "easy" territories from us. As a result, Serbia after 1913 was 50% Serbian, 50% Bulgarian, Vlach, Albanian

    Lemon Kush is a Serb?

According to your mythomania most of Serbia are serbified Bulgarians, Vlachs and Albanians. I wonder where are real Serbs hidden?

Ethnic composition of the Balkans during the same time. You can check other maps if you wish. THe borders of Serbia on the first map include many minorities - up to 50%.

No man, you are so weak that you didn't manage to assimilate anyone. From the non-Serbian territory which Serbia gained after the Balkan wars, nothing is part of Serbia today. Kosovo and Macedonia are separate countries. The only foreign territory that you succeded to save is Eastern Serbia, where many Montenegrins settled, but even today we do have large numbers of Bulgarians and Vlachs.

In order to assimilate the Bulgarian population, you made the myth Bugari-Tatari even stronger and this continued even in Socialistic Yugoslavia.

Bulgarians in Serbia live mostly in Caribrod (Dimitrovgrad) and Bosilegrad and surrounding villages, their number is about 18k. It's SE Serbia.
In eastern Serbia almost there is no Bulgarians. Most numerous minority are Vlachs, and they are quite less numerous than Serbs. There is no much people of Montenegrin origin in eastern and southeastern Serbia. They mostly in western/southwestern Serbia, Šumadija, Belgrade and Vojvodina. Earlier there was many Montenegrins in Metohija, but they mostly left Metohija in 1999.
East Serbia is part of Serbia much before 20th century.

Negotin, Zaječar, Kladovo, Poreč were in semi independent Serbia when Bulgaria was still in Ottoman empire

An undercover Balkan immigrant of some form, maybe not necessarily a Serb. He has been engaging in Balkan discussions in other threads as well.

Most Americans cannot find their own city on a world map, let alone create discussions about countries and history that have nothing to do with them half a planet away.

He is not a Serb, but Bulgarian with Serbophilic tendencies, eventually pro-Serb Macedonian. But from what I remember he's Bulgarian.

Yeah, you confirm what I said in my previous post. You managed to make Eastern Serbia integral part of the country. Unlike Macedonia and Kosovo.

The original speech of Eastern Serbia (which very few people can speak today) is closer to Eastern Bulgarian than to standard Serbian.

    But my point was different.
