the legendary hotel was demolished in 2006 along with the infamous Cocoanut Grove nightclub, and a school built in it's place
the hotel was built 100 years ago this year
Bobby Kennedy was assassinated here in '68, in the pantry (~17 mins on the video)
The 1939 Academy Awards Ceremony was held in the Cocoanut Grove
A hotel saturated in history. Real shame it had to be demolished
