Meanwhile Quo Vadis Aida (about genocide in Srebrenica) made this year Oscar shortlist, and film is really well made, better than Grbavica to my suprise. Must be painful for Serbia to get beaten by Žbanić film, I supose.

Just watched the movie. It's hard to watch as expected.

I didn't see any "anti-Croatian" propaganda or anything especially political as some malicious reviews said.
There is even a scene where ordinary Croats are shown disagreeing silently with what is going on with Serbs when they are taken to camp.

main focus on fear of separation and hope for new uniting with lost members of family. It does have couple very explicit scenes of violence.

I also watched The Diary of Diana B. movie earlier and as a movie I honestly find Dara of Jasenovac better.

Very hard to watch. I watched with breaks with obviuos reason, but returning several times until the end. It is obligation to all of us to see that testimony. My mother cried during all the film.

I watched the movie, and I felt like German who just watched Schindler List.

Any decent german person would have teary eyes from anger of what part of his nation was doing to someone else, so did I durin this movie about those monsters and what they were doing in Jasenovac.

I knew that already but to see it from first hand, it's hard.

I dont see this movie as anti-croatian movie, the only way to understand each others is to admit faults and crimes of psychopaths who were part of your own nation, and Ustashes and their doings in Jasenovac were not Croats, those were PSYCHOPATHS.

Same as (just an example) Arkan was Psychopath in 90s from serbian side, NOTHING can justify such things.

I wouldn't be true Croatian patriot if I would ever say that Ustashes were not killing Serbs in Jasenovac, those killings were... beyond inhumane, it was true form of; EVIL.

And nothin like that can ever be allowed to happened, and it won't, EVER again.

I had to admit it was hard to watch this movie to me, I had teary eyes durin many scenes of movie, not only teary eyes, but teary eyes mixed with ANGER..., anger that somethin like that could even happened, anger that SOMEONE ACTUALLY CAN DEFEND THOSE SCUMS in the name of who knows what twisted sense of "patriotism".

True patriots can only protect his and other nations from that EVIL ever happening again.
