He’s just very keen on testing his plans out as fast as possible. You want to know we have a plan b just in case Earth starts becoming way too overpopulated, or an extinction event can wipe us out, right? It’s a great idea to get things into mars to begin the colonization as it’ll take a much longer time creating a suitable environment on the planet. We aren’t there in a technological perspective, but he has the greatest engineering minds and have information and technology we aren’t even aware of atm. His tests will most likely fail but that’s just trial and error, it’s natural.Also, in a business perspective it bumps his name up even more than it already is, he is the future of the human race.

Well, to be fair there's no fucking way Elon Musk would be able to colonise Mars this early in our technology. It's a giant radioactive ball with nothing of use on it and it is extremely far away and has asteroids on the trip there.
If most of Earth is covered in nuclear fallout or weather and temperatures have become too extreme for survival, that seems like a good time to pool together resources and fuck off. Otherwise why would you bother other than being a rich delusional nerd?
The only real motivation for getting to Mars is to plant American flag on it before the Chinese at this point.
He's the underdog you're supposed to love, the saviour of humanity. Look at what he's done. Internet money transfers to make you broke faster. A car company that can decide you aren't worthy of their features and just lock the car down remotely. A space company that is trying to break in to space. An internet company that will be able to track you anywhere on the planet.

Yeah, I’m a big Wall Street type of guy... I’ve been prospecting it for a while and saw Elon’s interest in it so I put some in. I’m confident it has juice for an upward rise for a little... I put money in that I wouldn’t care to lose, my buying price is x4 lower than the current price so I’m at a profitable area rn.
