I don't think he is half Irish but just has some Irish ancestry. His surname is Burke which is a name to be proud of in Ireland and the Irish diaspora. He has mixed European ancestry but reserves his venom for his Irish ancestry. What exactly is your ancestry JamesBond?

Ireland has no major natural resources such as iron and coal or even rich soil and so it never had much power.

It's very hard that a country could be founded or developped if their resources are taken out by another power, the population included.

Remember the Irish famine, where the irish people literally starved, allowed and fuelled by the colonial power.

Resources and especially population are required to build a country.
