There's no proof it was a script of any kind. It's just a compilation of symbols found on various objects from the dig sites.

Looks like a mixture between Greek and Runic letters
The Talmud tells us that the only language the Torah could be translated into elegantly is Greek.

There is some Greek letters in there so it might have been some people who were at least partially Greek.
    Illyrians?

It's before the Illyrians. Vinča was a neolithic culture of West Asian origin.

Either way the symbols have alot of similarities with today's Serbian cyrillic. Are Illyrians descedants from Vinca? Proto-Illyrians?

No, Illyrians are Indo-Europeans who arrived here from Eastern Europe millenia later. Their culture totally replaced the ones who existed before. The symbols from Vinča are pretty rudimentary markings, so it's nothing spectacular that a few are going to resemble modern letters at least superficially. You can find similarities to Germanic runes as well, who are completely different from cyrillic. So, it doesn't mean a thing. And cyrillic wasn't even the first recorded Slavic script, glagolithic came before it.

Here's how those symbols look like outside of a cherrypicked chart made by complete charlatanes like Radivoje Pešić:
