I don't think he looks Viking. He looks more like the medieval progressive, gracilized, urbanized Hansa sea merchant from Hamburg or urban Malmo, the trader who went along with the Vikings, or the Jarl pulling the strings telling the Vikings what to do.
These are more distinct Viking looks imo:
