I think they are and it think it stems from evolution. People in colder climates were selected to be more social and nicer to each other because they depend on each other more to survive.

Thanks for reminding me of Colin Flaherty again, his videos from years ago (that have all been banned now of course) made me a real hard-liner on blacks. For all the stereotypes, it is still shocking to see the vicious things they do on a daily basis in a Western country, and how strenuously it's covered up.

Being rude is the least of their crimes.

Look man, I live in Portugal (not as many blacks as in the US but still a significant number) and I talk of my experience here and during my travels. I personally don't ever experienced that blacks are more rude than others, I mean you find polite and rude people from every race/ethnic group.

The worst problems I had regarding rudeness/impoliteness were almost always with white people, gypsies and even with chinese, I never had that kind of problem with blacks.

From the countries I have been with significant black populations (mainly in South America and Caribbean) the people are generally very nice and easy going (regardless of their race).

The exception would be the US Virgin Islands (ST. Thomas), the locals were almost all blacks and I didn't liked them at all, arrogant shitheads, dumb, incompetent, prone to scam tourists and yes...kind of racist too. I know it's not mainland USA but perhaps black americans developed a very negative subculture on their own wich is not so visible in other parts of the World, and don't get me wrong, there's no doubt some negative aspects in the black neighborhoods in Europe and youngsters trying to emulate US gangsta culture etc...but still not significant enough to say that they as a community are more rude than others, not to that degree.
