Frost hollow stronger than Kosanica is valley Valoviti do (altitude 2027 m) on Durmitor mount https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Durmitor

Slovenian professor of geography doctor Matej Orgin measured -40c in Valoviti do in January 2011.
More details in the last few sentences on this link (https://www.cdm.me/drustvo/slovenack...i-u-crnu-goru/), translation:
Professor from university of Ljubljana says that geomorphological heterogeneity also caused topoclimatic heterogeneity, so the found out in recent years, for example, that minimum temperatures in some localities on Durmitor and Sinjajevina (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sinjajevina) often fall bellow -30c.
"The lowest temperature we measured in locality Valoviti do, on Durmitor, was -40c on January 4, 2011, and on Sinjajevina on December 13, 2012 it was -38.5c" say Ogrin.

On January 4, 2011 when professor Ogrin measured -40c in Valoviti do, minimum temperature in Žabljak was only -14.1c. On December 13, 2012 when he measured -38.5c on Sinjajevina; Žabljak had minimum -19.4c, Pljevlja -21.7c and Kolašin -20.7c

-24.3c was the lowest temperature in Kosanica last night recorded in 00:30 AM. After that came the clouds and the temperature began to rise. If it remained clear sky until morning the temperature would drop to about -30c

Karajukića Bunari in Serbia dropped to -23.8c last night, and Sjenica to -19.4c

Montenegro is a Med country, at least stereotypically.

One guy from Montenegrin forum says he was driving via Kosanica in February 2012 and thermometer on his car showed -35c
For comparison in February 2012 the lowest temperature in Sjenica (the coldest town in Serbia) was "only" -26.8c
