All first 5 days of this June Kosanica had frost in the morning.

This evening in 23:00 it was 9.6c and probably next morning will be without frost.

Montenegro has various extremes. Relatively common over 40c in Podgorica in the summer when the asphalt melts from the heat, high amount of rain in some parts (Cetinje, Crkvice, Grahovo etc), heavy snowfalls and low temperatures in some parts in the winter etc.

Actually meteo station in Kosanica is on altitude of 1320 m. Green circle south of Pljevlja which is red square on the map right in northern Montenegro (near border with Serbia) http://www.meteo.co.me/page.php?id=36

Until recently i thought it's for about 100 m lower.

This summer was fifth or sixth hottest ever in the Balkans.
Regardless of that mean temperature in Kosanica in this meteorological summer (from June 1 to August 31) is only 15.2c (average min 5.9c and average max 24.5c).

Average minimums (left, blue) and absolute minimums (right, violet) in some places on higher altitude in former Yugoslavia. Station on Kredarica (2514 m) in Slovenia had just little lower average minimums than Kosanica (1320 m), and Kosanica had lower absolute minimum.
