Kosanica had all first 12 days of this April with frost, and 3 ice days among them. Low temperatures there and in places on similar elevation in the region in this time of year are not problem. Because fruits and vegetables do not grow there, except potatoes and hazelnuts. Recently one family planted American blueberry in Kosanica on the area of one hectare

One the other hand in lower areas and plains in region in the first several days of this April snow and light to medium frosts damaged fruit flowers. In some areas damage is almost 100%. On the altitudes below 500 or 600 m (depends of region) vegetation has started or partly started before cold wave in early the April, because March was warmer than average.
Central Balkans, part of the western Balkans and some areas in central Europe had the largest negative temperature deviation in Europe in the first third of this April.
