Professor from university of Ljubljana says that geomorphological heterogeneity also caused topoclimatic heterogeneity, so the found out in recent years, for example, that minimum temperatures in some localities on Durmitor and Sinjajevina (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sinjajevina) often fall bellow -30c.
"The lowest temperature we measured in locality Valoviti do, on Durmitor, was -40c on January 4, 2011, and on Sinjajevina on December 13, 2012 it was -38.5c" say Ogrin.
On January 4, 2011 when professor Ogrin measured -40c in Valoviti do, minimum temperature in Žabljak was only -14.1c. On December 13, 2012 when he measured -38.5c on Sinjajevina; Žabljak had minimum -19.4c, Pljevlja -21.7c and Kolašin -20.7c
