Province investing millions to tackle racism and hate crimes

February 19, 2021

Community-based initiatives to fight racism, discrimination and hate crimes will be getting up to $2.6-million from the provincial government.

Officials say the funding will help 26 not-for-profit groups and First Nations Chiefs and Band Councils across Ontario.

Working with their local police partners, these groups will launch a number of new projects, from education campaigns to victim support programs.
