Fasting means to voluntarily give up certain foods, meat in the Christian religion, habbits, cleans body and soul.

Matthew 4,1 Jesus went into the desert fasted 40 days and prayed. Nowaday 40 days fasting, as preparation for the holy feast of Easter.

Finding ways to God through meditation, prayer and penance.

To find happiness in life, to see more clear your life and goals.

To recognise your weaknesses and faults easier, and improving.

To find a healthier way of life, to find inner peace.

Fasting gives energy.

It can only be good I agree. Im trying a bit though. Or sometimes I cheat or cross the fast, but I try to fast, to give up certain habbits foods etc. On Ash Wednesday I ate a tunna pizza, a pizza with tuna and paprika. Fish is allowed though in fast.

That's more about giving up of "rich food". In the bible they eat fish, because they were fishermen and it was for them a comon and simple meal. It doesn't mean for exemple you should eat salmon.
So a tuna pizza might be limit
