Default How would Europe and the rest of the world have been without America?

Until the year 1492, the existence of America was not known, since this was a basically isolated continent (many parts of Oceania and Asia as well), so how would events affect Europe and the rest of the continents?

I probably believe that the European empires would be very different, more in the Holy Germanic Empire style than in the maritime empire style.

No America would mean that all european powers would fight for the India spice trade and Africa. Apart from that not much would change.

    (1) By America do you mean all the Americas or just the USA? (2) Which parts of Asia were especially isolated in ancient times?

    America

I understand that many parts of South Asia (except India and its neighbors) and the islands were isolated and had little or no contact with other areas until European explorations.

Human beings are always going to be human beings, no matter the continent. But the overwhelming amount of resources added to the world through those "New World" continents of N. and S. America is what matters. The added space, also, can be said to have fostered advancement in social, political areas.

Exactly that is what I mean, thanks to the discovery of America, humanity made a great advance, new things were discovered and new things were invented in all areas.

But without immigrants (as you would like) since the discovery of America began the colonizations that later lasted in Africa.
Even though it must have been boring just to eat foods based on wheat and cattle.
