    Lorena García

(In his publications his second last name does not appear)

    García

Due to the different lineages of Garcia, there is no single coat of arms and there are very different variations.

Hypothesis about the origin of the surname

According to the philologist and historian Alberto Montaner Frutos, García is a very old anthroponym,
of pre-Roman origin, "possibly Ibero-Aquitan, whose etym has been considered akin to the Basque (h)artz 'bear', which in its determined version is (h)artzea and whose ancient form would have been kartzea". Ramón Menéndez Pidal and Antonio Tovar also agree that the origin of this surname is hartz, that is, "bear". Alfonso Irigoyen believes that the etymology comes from the word gaztea, which means "young", although Montaner Frutos disagrees because it is "phonetically unfeasible".

    Lineages and history

It was in Navarre where it was used for the first time, before in Castile. According to Menéndez Pidal, the surname was already used in 789 and 791.

It seems that the Aragon branch descends from García-Jiménez, king of Sobrarbe. Other researchers make it descend from the kings of Navarra, pointing to Fortún García, ascendant of Monfós García, who participated in the conquest of Valencia.

The García of Andalusia and Extremadura, with houses in Seville and Granada, descend from the Garcias of Castilian origin.

The surname García was frequent among the conquerors of America, but even before the discovery, a García had a lot to do with that fact.

According to oral family tradition E-FT155550 comes from a deserter of Napoleon's troops (1808-1813) who stayed in Spain and changed his surname.

I got them too. According to Blade, he'd count them as the darkest level of light eyes, in his studies. They can be brown quite a bit, sometimes.

    A real drama.

That guy must have been unaware that heterochromia is not considered eye color.
