It shouldn't be surprising that a southern Italian could look like Levantines when they are 20-25% East med, if there are some Italians who look scandinavian, without being much Nordic in general. There are Iberians and North Italians who are quite dark looking without having much MENA ancestry, I mean there are French who are swarthy. 20-25% of Southern Italian look East-Med. And again, it shoudln't be surprising. I've seen darker looking Italians in the south. Many here would discount them as being mixed, there are definitely towns and places with higher admixture from the East, and places with less. I've being in Puglia this summer, and you Forumers wouldn't tell the differences between some towns in Puglia and most North-Italian groups, it depends on the place. Puglians are very med gentically but less North African, unlike Sicilians, I think that what's make a difference, because I don't see Levantines being much darker than in Skin-tone than EEF. Also random african genes can explain the Contador looking people. If you are 1% African you can still have a gene about pigmentation that is SSA in nature. But that's a different story. In conclusion, I'm going to say this, this guy has a central Italian noble surname, of germanic origin. This guy is from Lazio, it could be mixed honestly, and I would think he has Romani ancestry if see him here around. Now, I rember when we went in other countries with my high school class, and often people asked why two of our fellow students were so dark, they were romani-mixed, but they have names and such that you wouldn't think that outside their look. They weren't that dark, maybe less dark than this guy, but they still were recognizable in a crowd of Tuscans, that maybe are darkish and ugly but they still have a "caucasian" face. So, it is what is. We don't know the genetics of people. Like the Spaniard guy with the myheritage result, it's reasonable to believe that there are place in Southern Europe with more East-Med ancestry, Jews, Moors, Romans and such. But we can't say if one if 100% of one etnicity, Italy is full of migrants, and many Europeans are mixed nowdays.
