The tricky part is his filipina mother is a mestiza from Philippines, so Enrique is more than 50% European by ancestry. He's probably something like 75% Euro.

but yeah, he's a mixed race person who can pass for pure european.

Well, not necessarily. I am just saying she fits among the phenotypical diversity found in the Philippines (at least better than she does in Japan) and I don't think people on this forum take into account the factor of atypicality as much as they should when discussing "passing" in a population.

People make the correlation to Philippines due to mexico being of spanish ancestry
