W Asians don't score much E Asian using calculators

Here is additional PROOF about how calculators should not be relied on for total E Asian admixture.

These are F2 genetic distances (Admixtools 2) from a high quality WGS 7000 year old E. Asian called Devils-Gate-N. Whole genomes of various Asians and Europeans were used for comparison to maximize overlapping SNPs to 200,000 with no missing SNPs in any of the populations.

You can easily see that these results agree with the qpAdm results for Kurds where Kurds have lower genetic distance to Devils-Gate-N than other W. Asians such as Kayseri Turks, Armenians, Georgians, Hasanlu-IA, Arabs.

I realize that some other Turks would be closer and I would be glad to include them if there are WGS of them so for now I only have Kayseri Turks (2 samples). I also didn't have access to other Iranian WGS samples except for the 2 Fars ones

Keep in mind if a population has S. Eurasian ancestry it would also be higher in the list because there's quite a bit of shared ancestry between S. Eurasian (Onge like) and E. Eurasian

Before someone asks the F2 genetic distances posted above are much more accurate than for example distances based on PCA coordinates of G25 or distances based on Gedmatch calculators for the reason that these are based on direct one-to-one SNP comparisons between ancient E. Asian and the various pops in the list.

I'm also posting this based on modern Eskimos because there are sometimes some damage in ancient DNA. So this should be regarded a little more accurate than the one based on Devils-Gate because the quality of modern sequences is better than ancients

With Devil's Gate Cave instead of Han

This is precisely why I'm posting direct gene-to-gene one-to-one comparisons between E. Asians and W. Asians because those calculator results have a million things that can skew results.

So when in doubt always do a gene-to-gene count of the number of similar genes between E. Asians and W. Asians. It's simple and you don't have to worry about any other factors that can skew results.

My moto is keep it simple and do a manual one to one comparison of every SNP.


What you posted shows Kurds with highest Iran-N. Iran-N is a bit of a mystery. Some of Harvard’s models show it with 22% AG3 related and other Harvard models show it with 8% Onge S Eurasian.
