Funnily enough, all the years I grew up in Leicester I never had any reason to visit Northampton. We would regularly visit Nottingham, Derby and to some extent Birmingham.

On average in my classroom growing up, maybe:

- 1 Black
- 1 East Asian
- 1-2 South Asian
- Average of less than one per classroom of kids of MENA background.
- 1-2 mixed race Latin Americans

Nowadays, in the area that I grew up, there is a very heavy influx of South Asians, notable increase in East Asians, and more Latino than there used to be as well.

Elementary school all White. 3 years in high school all white. 1 year in high school, tri-racials mostly, with minority of blacks, mestizos and east asians. Also one student was Indian like person from Guyana or Suriname, I think Guyana but not certain.

At school I had a romanian classmate. All the rest (like 30), plus other group (20-30) with the same age, were all spaniards with 4 spaniard grandfathers, except for a bulgarian

Yes and no. Even in Leicester, once you venture out to the surrounding villages you can find schools like this:

Paradoxically in my university years in Madrid I just had spaniards with 4 spanish grandparents in class (and were large class of 60-70 people). There was a chinese exchange student, one ecuadorian, and two romanians (these were harder to spot really)

Not only in my class, in my faculty the only "ethnics" were chinese and american (from the Great Lakes region, Wisconsin-Illinois-Michigan-Ohio, there´s an agreement with my university) exchange students, plus european erasmus students from everywhere. In fact I had an american and a german flatmates in different years.

The inmigrants that really live in Spain were practically non-existant there (I had some in the secondary years, but dissapeared in the preparatory course for the university completely, mainly even before), and it continues so I think. I came back just one single day in february 2020, one month before coronavirus outbreak, and just noticed more chinese exchange students, but no more inmigrants.

I made an exchange to Malvern, not far away from Wales-England border, in my secondary years.

Yes, something like 99% of the high school was white (and I don´t say 100% because have passed many years, but I don´t remember a single ethnic there). But it doesn´t mean that some of them had partial european ancestry (Irish or Scottish would serve, Wales not)

Do you mean your school had an outright majority of Black and Latin American students, or merely that they were the most numerous non-whites?
