Actually, there are some very non-white schools and neighbourhoods in Cardiff, and to a limited extent Newport and Swansea. Still, Leicester is an extreme case for anywhere in the UK of course.

Yeah my girlfriend who used to post here Catkin, is from the Northampton area not too far. That seemed to be more white English. Leicester is kind of how I imagine Birmingham is.

Funnily enough, all the years I grew up in Leicester I never had any reason to visit Northampton. We would regularly visit Nottingham, Derby and to some extent Birmingham.

My group of friends were always diverse and I’m thankful for that.

Houston has a large community of South Asian and Menas. My area didn’t have as many blacks. And of course a large amount of Latinos

45% of my school was blacks and latinos. there were very few menas and east/south asians
