I believe the rarity of his appearance is due to the fact mestiços aren't exactly common in Brazil. I could see the guy passing here in Venezuela before Brazil, even if Bororos don't exist here.

It is common in self-declared whites above 80% euro. The non-euro part is Amerindian (but not normally visible)
