I’m posting a large collection of photos so not all will look British, but as you’ll see, there are plenty that do. Taken from Orthodox weddings/festivals

Ashkenazi Jews are the whitest or most European - looking Jewish people. They have the most European blood and originated in Central and Eastern Europe. A minority have «Nordish or Northern European» features and may pass in Northern Europe including the British Isles. On average I would say no, most don’t look British or Irish.

This is why passing is an overrated and senseless concept. People usually pass in much more countries than what people say in these threads (depending on how one defines passing, ofc). If someone is light skinned and has European facial features, he will most likely "pass" in many - if not most - European countries without looking off. Passing as British and looking British are different things.

They have clear near eastern influence and many are very easy to recognize as Jews. They are just very light skinned due to centuries living in central/east Europe and being mostly indoor urban population.
Some can pass for Brits ofcourse, but it is clear minority.

They are light, but don't look native European in vast majority of cases if that's what you mean.

It's also arbitary. My idea of passing is different from someone else's - a lot of people probably think passing is someone who could be mistaken for something, which is a pointless measurement between 'Whites' for the reasons you stated, most Europeans could 'pass atypically' in most of the rest of Europe by these standards. I would consider passing as someone who would rarely if ever be guessed as foreign IRL, based on looks. And then specifically looking something is another thing altogether.

That's actually incredibly irellevant statement, Jews come in many shapes, some can be even 100% genetically British and be jews. It's like saying some Americans can pass as Brits unnoticed.

I only recently learned Kirk Douglas was an (100%) Ashkenazi Jew. Nothing about his appearance suggested to me he had any ancestry besides NW European

he looked like a classic Noric, thats not a NW phenotype. He looks between Russian/ Pole and Italian- corresponds also to his genetics.

Maybe not British, but he can easily be German. In my opinion anyway. Roy Scheider, another American actor, who was of German and Irish descent, resembles him.
