Dominican Republic isn't the poorest nor the most violent in the region. Find another country to make comparisons. Puerto Rico in fact has always been more violent than the DR and even today is. At some point that island was somewhat poorer too when we were less developed than nowadays.

Yea Puerto Rico is pretty crazy even by Latam/Caribbean standards.
Those who want to live, let them fight, and those who do not want to fight in this world of eternal struggle do not deserve to live.

Even if this were hard--that is how it is ! Assuredly, however, by far the harder fate is that which strikes the man who thinks he can overcome Nature, but in the last analysis only mocks her. Distress, misfortune, and diseases are her answer.

Nothing of value and potentially a massive economic drain.

As for this goober, I just wonder how many former WH staffers would be given a single minute of the day to say anything bad about Obama or any Dem President by any media outlet... Spoiler alert: It's none.

Spain has an even higher unemployment. Rate for most of its time. Even though spain has always had a better exonomy.
Puerto ricos unemployment rate right now is 8 percent while spain is 13. But no one ever talks about spain unemployment.

And the unemployment rate in the states in general is 6.9 percent
    Basically 7 percent.
While ecuadors unemploymemt rate and cubas is even lower then both spain and the united states.

Although ecuador is better off then cuba and is much safer then all these countries except the european ones.
Probably safer then the states too.
France unemployment rate is about 9 or 8 percent as well.

And the unemployment rate of haiti is probably much larger then any of these
Jamaica being about 9 percent now
    2017 was 7
Unemployment rate in colombia is 9 percent which is higher then both puerto rico and dominican republic.
    Argentina unemployment is 9 percent

Brazil was about 8 about in 2015 and is now about 14 percent

Peru is similar to ecuador. About 3 percent

Costa Rica unemployment rate is about 12 percent which is increasing from before

    Guatamala is about 2 percent.

Nicuaragua unemployment rate is about 7 percent

It bounced back and forth between 3 and 8 percent

Panama unemoloyment rate is 7 percent but this is somewhat high for panamas unemoloyment rate recently

    Uruguay unemployment is 8-9 perent

    Paraguay is about 4-5 percent

Venezuela was about 7 percent in 2017. Its now about 10 percent. Yet still lower then spain. Which is weird

Your logic makes no sense whatsoever. Hawaii was a territory (just like PR), now they're a state and after decades their culture and traditions are still there.

Puerto Rico is 10x more violent then DR as we speak, so that's out of the question... Puerto Ricans last November 3rd voted to become a state something closer then ever to happen.

Its not. The intentional murder rate in DR is higher from a ratio standpoint Yet the homicide rates are still similar.
But PR is probably dangerous. Just not as dangerous as DR.

Clearly inconceivable. Does anyone believe that it would be possible to exchange territories as you would exchange Pokemon cards?...

10x is way too much LMAO. Maybe in the 80s and 90s when the crime in Puerto Rico was higher than now (and DR's lower)
