Because regional speech. Original Ita likely changed to Da due to Slavic influx. Or maybe it simply dropped the "i" and there's nothing more to it.

Let's be clear about this, Romania has zero land claims in Serbia. Zero, none.

There is concern in Romania about the loss of customs and language in the Vlach community in Serbia, but there is clear understanding that any plan aimed to preserve the community should not interfere with politics in Serbia. Preserving Vlach culture should be done in such a way that is enriching for Serbia and not a source of conflicts.

I am against most of the Deretić's claims like Romanians are Serbs, Hungarian are Serbs, Russians are Serbs, Indians are Serbs, Germans are Serbs, Romans were Serbs etc. Also, Deretić was anti-Greek and anti-Christian oriented with sympathies towards the Ottomans and USA, it's all unacceptable for me.
You can be against whatever you want……it’s your choice, no problems at all. Tell me, why does Hungarian use names of days like Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday etc…so similar to Serbian?

Okay, just as the poster a few pages ago making excuses the name Sarbatore ‘celebrate’ is origin for name of dance? Why do you call Serbs SARB? Just as the Greek poster saying here Serv, is to ‘Watch over’. Similar excuses.

    It’s not Slavic influences.
