    Eurasia was interesting in the past with lots of "African" animals such as lion, cave hynea, wolly rhinoceros, mammoth etc.
    Aurochs seems boring to me because it's barely different than domestic cattle.

    There was another "hobbit species" in China that died out relatively recently.
    I read Floresiensis split from our lineage very early, before Homo Erectus was a thing.
    Neanderthals were interesting because they showed characteristics that were progressive and primitive at the same time. They had larger brains than Sapiens but had protuding mouth with a recessed chin and large browridge which looks a bit similar to a chimpanzee.
