The skeleton of Deinotherium Giganteum from National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History from Chișinău. Was found accidentally in 1966 in central part of the country near Dniester river. The height is more than 4 meters, had approx. 10 tons and lived 4-5 millions years ago in the mid Pliocene. European specimens were the biggest, this one really was a big boy.

Deinotherium Bozasi, the african smaller version. This one was more lucky and survived till early Pleistocene when first forms of humans started to appear.

As much I would like to see a dinosaur or something like that, I wish the species that went extinct recently due direct human intervention were still alive.

    Thylacine:

    Dodo:

    Great Auk:

    Etc.

    ....
African animals were selected for being able to deal with humans, animals in other continents had no answer to the newcomers (humans).
