It was a barbaric practice of past where a widow is given two choices. Either die with her husbands corpse in fire or be a widow and live miserable life of no comforts,no shelter or healthy food. This was followed mostly warrior clans which think that there women should better die than live in hands of the enemies. It all ended in nineteenth century.Maybe completely in twentieth

I was scary when I saw a video showing this ritual. Very sad. I think they slice her forehead to remove her tattoo with her skin.

Yeah, all war clans are barbaric they use to do sacrifices for everything. But just think living as widow with no respect shelter or food is equally barbaric
