Why don't these mass shootings happen in the UK or other Western European countries ?
Ordinary citizens just don't have the easy access or exposure to fire arms that you Americans do
Honestly it staggers me (and most ppl this side of the pond) why so many Americans can't see this extremely obvious reality
Do you think, if you had fire arms laws equivalent to the UK, you'd still have mass shootings every few months ? Come on now

that's the sort of ludicrous nonsense many americans use to justify their fire arms laws. This: "but we need them to protect ourselves"
amazingly they dont seem to realise in a society were it is so easy to acquire fire arms "to defend themselves" , it's also just as easy for nutters to acquire them to commit mass murders (whether those fire arms are legal or not). in such a society where they are so common, they are much easier to get hold of.
why then, in countries with much stricter fire arms laws are such mass shootings almost unknown ?

Although the American civil war ended 155 years ago, it is still a relatively recent point in history for a civilization to have gone through. The South used their arms to protect their land and property from being confiscated by the military/government. That is why the south takes so much pride in their right to bear arms. I would hate for the banning of arms if such corruption were to happen again, because no matter how many civilians might outnumber government/military you simply can’t bring a knife to a gun fight.

Obviously, guns make it easier to murder people. Anyone denying that is a flat-out low-IQ retard. And having them widely available makes them easier to acquire. The northern Mexican cartels are mostly armed with American weaponry. If all legal guns disappeared you would see a reduction in gun-related crime over 10 years. Fact.
However, that said, if I were living in America, I would buy a gun. Even living in the UK, I'm considering it, although not for now. Gun culture was never ever predicated on the idea that having a gun is the safest option. It isn't, and the retarded defenders who scream about how guns make us safer because you're going to whip out your glock and headshot a shooter with an AR-15 from 250 yards just as soon as he has you in his sights are doing it no favours. It's about independence.
