I dont take racism from the past seriously...mainly because it was not based on science.
Of course you had the eugenics movement and all that but 'race' as it was known back then tended to be a cultural and phenotypical term.
For example people back in the day they thought each european population was their own race.
There was a 'german race','french race',italian race','slavic race',etc.
Today we lump all these groups together but back in the day it was basically whats described above.
