Social Networks that you miss.

Hi Everyone,

I feel very nostalgic for my old social networks, which one do you miss? Do you remember which was your first one?

Mine was ICQ, great times!

Too young to remember most of them. By the time I was a teenager and I wanted to make a social media facebook was already getting pretty big so thats really the only one I know.

I do miss the facebook of 2010 tho, back then you could say whatever you want as long as you're not posting violence and porn, nowadays you get restricted if you so much as gently insult someone and he reports you.

I remember my first girlfriend doing AOL chat or something, and at the time I was thinking, 'What is this crap?'. Then I remember MySpace and Facebook emerged, I had zero interest.

So the only social network I ever participated in regularly was this place - ApricityBook.

I remember the ICQ (an older acquaintance was very addicted to it), but it's from before my time. I have (mostly) good memories of Orkut, before everyone switched to FB.

On FB I distinctly remember an ex complaining I was expending more time playing Relic Quest (or whatever it's called) than talking to her highly needy, talkative, extroverted self, then I realized I wasn't made for this shit, haha. I'm not much of a social media guy.

It seems Orkut was very popular in Brasil, I never heard about O here.

I have never used social networks (Vkontakte) actively, only to keep in touch with friends from school, university and the army (now everyone has moved to Whatsapp and Telegram).
I also once used ICQ, Jabber and IRC, but they all died of natural causes, giving way to more modern messengers which using a phone number. Technology and privacy mean little in this matter, only the user base matters.
