What’s Your Taste in Music Like?

What kind of music do you like/dislike?
I haven’t listened to a single genre that I haven’t at least liked one artist that performs that genre. However, this could be due to my history with music. My dad likes alternative and older pop, whereas my mom likes all genres like I do. I was also a dancer (ballet, hip hop, lyrical, jazz, etc.), gymnast, ice skater, and cheerleader growing up, so I had to listen to a ton of genres.

What genre I choose to listen to depends on what I’m doing. If I’m just doing everyday activities, I tend to listen to metal, rap, alternative, or pop the most. When I’m writing I listen to classical music or video game instrumentals. The genre I like the least is country music.

My taste in music is very versatile.

I mostly listen to rock music (heavy metal, alternative, indie, grunge, classic,soft rock)
But I also listen to techno/trance, hip hop & rap from the 90’s and early 00s, country, r&b

The only genres I don’t like are pop and today’s hip hop/trap music

I like Rock (alternative, punk, pop and grunge mainly) and Metal (heavy, thrash, alternative, doom, gothic, death and black) the most.
Although i also like to listen to Country, Synthpop/Darkwave and rarely some old 90's Rap music.

I dislike modern mainstream music in general.

Although I`m still considering myself a metalhead, I dont listen to it as much as I used to anymore. A good part became replaced by folk, country and hardcore punk. Sometimes I like to throw in a bit of gabber/hardstyle and some dungeon synth.

I dislike rap, rnb, hip hop, reggea and pop music.

Easier to show dislike, in particular the evolution of the valley girl voice, formerly used only in speech, and made fun of, but now softened into cutesy monotonous consonant slurrings, and then if you add autotune it's insult to injury. Doesn't mean slaves to that shit can't sing, but that they limit their voices to such a brainless pre-school style for profit. Example: Bebe Rexha. My music preference, same as Impaler, but with some rock and pop added.

I listen to pretty much everything, out of popular genres I'm not very fond of Hip Hop and (Heavy) Metal, but there are always exceptions and it's always nice when I find something I like from a genre I usually don't.
