Why are English Americans darker than English people?

Don't most English have light hair though (light brown, dark blond, red)?

The English as all other Europeans have various hair colors. However if we combine the lighter brown, blond and red hair shade. This would outweigh the much darker brown and black hair shades. This is expected, they are geographically located in the north - western quadrant of Europe. They also again have various eye colors as other Europeans. However, if you combine lighter eye colors, green, gray and blue. This would outweigh brown or brownish eye colors. The reason for it, has already been given.

I guess the English probably brought their darkest people to the Americas while the light ones mostly stayed in Europe rofl.

I now think that you don’t know what you are talking about. This is due to the fact that the most «Anglo - Saxon» states in America definitely don’t have low percentage of blond or gingers! These are the most «Anglo - Saxon» states, meaning states which have the highest percentage of English ancestry.
1) Utah
2) Maine
3) Vermont
4) Idaho
5) New Hampshire
I have been in all those states by the way. Just so you know, I did a part of my university studies in your country where I learned to be fluent in the English language. Blond or red - haired are not any particularly in these states among Whites at least. The Number 2, 3 and 5 are the whitest states in America too.

Here too in these Utah fellows, you can see the blond, ginger, brown colors. So I don’t see any particularly darker. When people are predominantly of English ancestry, they would not loook that different from their English cousins across the Atlantic Ocean.

Maybe that's because they receive a lot more sunlight, which lightens their hair color. White Australians also seem to be blonder than brits for that reason.

You only usually see darker haired and skinned Anglos in places like Tennessee and the Appalachians where you get a lot of different people converging and isolating. Places like the Midwest, South West and parts of the West Coast arent as diverse when it comes to the white genepool.
