That's the same explanation that every ufo/alien bullshitter has ever offered up - but it's never sounded convincing. We've had 70 years of constant alien themed films/tv shows to get used to the idea, and people are so secular and self-obsessed now that's such an announcement would not cause chaotic panic.
btw I have an open mind on the subject, but after many years of following ufo/alien stuff one gets very weary and cynical of it all.

I would think an abrupt disclosure could cause massive turmoils, that is considering it's done with unrefutable material proofs. When you think people were already battling to get paper towel at the begining of Covid like it was the end of the world, it's clear we aren't ready to hear that kind of things, even if we like to convince ourselves about it individually. It would be the most important event in human history.
If i was in position to know or divulge the information, i would never do it to the public, even putting aside other aspects like military. I could maybe imagine making it a long process, it is perhaps what we are witnessing right now since the NY time article and the declassified documents from the Navi. It's an anthropological supernova, the fact we wouldn't be the dominant species in existence anymore. Since if they can come here they are far more advanced than we are, at least thousands, maybe millions of years ahead. It would be like monkeys or even possibly ants, trying to understand what some big humanoids creatures, us, are doing next to them in the wild with their smartphone cameras. Anything from another civilization that is able to come here will look like elusive magic to us.
However i agree +99% on the subject is bollock promoted by charlatans.

If they've been playing around with it, of course they weren't transparent. What I'm saying is that they wouldn't bother with reinventing the wheel and just tamper with SARS if a baseline Covid-19 virus wasn't around when the supposed Black Project started. As I said before, it is very possible that we are actually dealing with a version which already went through some modification by them, but they didn't make it from scratch. Or at least it's very unlikely.
We have eradicated anthrax quite quickly, it is easy to do so because it doesn't spread with coughs. Bioweapons in general are kinda bad because of the reasons above. Before anyone releases an efficient one, he has to be damn sure he has a vaccine first. Anthrax is deadly, but it also easy to prevent.

My favorite conspiracy theory is written in Good Soldier Švejk novelle:
the theory that inside planet Earth is another one but much larger

I know what you mean. I was really into this stuff in the recent past, but the chewing gum lost its flavor. I'm agnostic on EBEs and UFOs, so I'm not a militant debunker. Supposedly, there will be a huge revelation in June which will primarily deal with the relatively recent "Tic Tac" events experienced by the American military.
I saw strange things in our skies, and my relatives did too. My guess is that they're military aircraft that appear out of this world because they act and look like technology that's too advanced for our present time. My guess is that EBE abductions are immoral psychological tests in the vein of MK-Ultra. I believe Travis Walton, for instance, but he might be a victim of a governmental psy-op.

I too think Covid may have been engineered by people for whatever reason. Not necessarily by Chinese: https://www.swfinstitute.org/news/91...efore-pandemic
