Is the USA considered most conservative country in the West?

Many Americans feel we are moving way too far to the left- even some Democrats. Europeans think that even our "liberal" politicians are conservative. But if that's true, the rest of the West is basically screwed. I see why we are such a prize, sitting on the last reservoir of a free society.

I think that most Americans today are too leftist. It looks like Americans have extreme opinions to both directions and moderate opinions don't exist there. This may be a misconseption, but people here are following US trends and it is no good, because we have a very different history. For instanse, our cabinet ministers talk like we had black slaves. In fact slavery in our country has been forbad since the 13th century. I don't say that people are afraid to critisize USA, but they have adopted the same rotten mentality they had during the Finlandization, shifting now from Russia to USA. Reading English newspapers I see that the Brits are far more subordinated, though.

I am old enough to remember the self-censorship during the Soviet era, but young people don't, so obviously they sre not aware of how this cancer develops and ruins minds.

Any western state is in deficite, including the US. Haveing 2 or 3 jobs and still not being able to afford a decent living can't be the solution either. The economy is there to improve living conditions of the people, not vice versa.

IMHO except for some specific areas, USA is much much more conservative.
