Is supporting local business considered liberal or conservative?

I was just curious if there is any political ideology tied to supporting local. On the surface, it would make sense that it would be inherently conservative to support local business, because you want to promote your local economy and drive job growth . However, it seems when people push for "local" they smite it with "anti corporate" , which to me reeks of environmental whackos or even anti capitalist. IMO, I support businesses I think are good. Whether they are local or national chains, should not matter. I won't support a local business if I think it stinks. What do Y'all think?

Supporting something based on the fact is it liberal or conservative is part of the problem. Think the reason your country's politics has gotten so bad is because everyone thinks on rails and supports ideas based on which side they belong to rather than what they actually feel and think in their own minds.

If you like some policy and idea you support it no matter which side it belongs to and if enough people start thinking like this left or right will no longer exist.

Probably neither, what does supporting your community have to do with big party politics? That is like saying is a well staffed police force con or lib. Just the way things should be. But in some sense it could be seen as anti-globalist or nationalist depending on your views.

It shouldn't be I have seen it have a political spin. Usually small business is considered conservative, but libs claim that conservatives only pretend to care about small businesses. I feel like more conservative people don't feel the need to cow tow to local business. If they want to shop at a "big box" store they do so because they know it' s better than some rinky dinky local store that only sells used underwear .
