Default Why does it seem like China's the only Third World country that's acting aggressively expansionist?

As far as I'm concerned, I don't hear news of Brazil or India trying to militarize like crazy and develop global-scale construction projects. I don't hear news of Brazilian and Indian spies infiltrating the West and trying to steal Western technology and replicate it in their own standards. I don't hear news of poorly-designed Brazilian and Indian products being imported into Western countries and immediately malfunctioning on arrival. I don't hear news of Brazil's or India's neighbors complaining about Brazilian or Indian aggression in their respective regions. I don't hear Western countries calling Brazil or India global threats. What makes China different from other large third world countries, and why do they want to take over the world when they can't even properly feed their own people like anywhere else in the Global South?

Cuba is pretty expansionist on a less physical level, they send their people all over Latin America as doctors etc. to spread their ideology and influence, they even sent troops to fight the South Africans in the Bush Wars.
Those who want to live, let them fight, and those who do not want to fight in this world of eternal struggle do not deserve to live.

Even if this were hard--that is how it is ! Assuredly, however, by far the harder fate is that which strikes the man who thinks he can overcome Nature, but in the last analysis only mocks her. Distress, misfortune, and diseases are her answer.

I'm talking about major economies and great powers, Cuba is only a minor economy and a small power. Cuba doesn't get that much hate because its relatively insignificant compared to the hegemonic China.

China has always been an expansionist culture, but it never reached the heights of expansion compared to the Western world. Cycle after cycle, their states and dynasties fought each other to expand their land, power and culture over neighbouring peoples and kingdoms. They tried to civilise and conquer barbarian peoples of nearby Korea, Mongolia, and Vietnam which all adopted from Chinese culture.

Today they do the same by spreading their mass of people all over the world to control and amass wealth and influence. Slowly they breed out the native populations to take their land.

They are just doing what many dynasties in Chinese history have done before - transition from isolationist to expansionist. They politically weakened the Mongols for centuries after the Yuan Dynasty was overthrown, which literally cucked Mongolia from a world power into the irrelevant third world country it is today (they are doing the same thing with US now).

Just 30 years ago, they have been the only thing feeding the rouge nation of North Korea for years to attempt to kill everyone, also purging a fuckton of students, professors, and intellectuals just for wanting more open freedom of speech and expression and 100% denies it despite everyone in the world knowing, while also bullying the sovereignty of Taiwan, Macao, Hong Kong, and Shenzhen.

You've forgotten a lot of China's expansionist history over the past six decades from Tibet, Nepal, and even India. China has also forced empire-like expansionist claims on land owned by:

    - India (Arunachal Pradesh/Jammu and Kashmir)
    - Japan (Senkaku Islands)
    - Vietnam (Spratly Islands)
    - Malaysia (Spratly Islands)
    - Philippines (Spratly Islands, Mischief Reef, Scarborough Shoal)

China's invaded and taken over oil plots off the coast of Vietnam. The Chinese are damming the Ganges and Brahmaputra Rivers on their side of the border and in Chinese aligned countries.

There's like 40 of them and it's all being diverted to Manchuria because within 10 to 15 years that place is gonna run out of water and begin desertification, this being a heavily populated area makes cancelling this major damming project simply not an option, it will inevitably spiral out of control since most of India's population relies heavily on those rivers as does its ecosystem and fertile land.

There's also a lot of advantage of putting nuclear waste dumps on the other side of the Himalayan mountain range since all nuclear waste leaks cannot cross the mountain range's bedrock. It'll just poison the India and Pakistan side.

They basically have colonies all over Africa for resource extraction. China has cleverly gotten various African nations into debt and then forced the countries to sign agreements to cede land to China for permanent ports, air bases, and even as potential future military installations.

One Belt is the definition of an expansionist economic project for trade domination in Europe and SE Asia.

However, the economic growth of China is stagnating, but the Chinese people are determined to make this century the Chinese Century.

Recently, there is a saying in China that "investment doesn't go outside of Shanhai Pass". Shanhai Pass is the segment of Great Wall that divides China proper from Manchuria. Chinese nowadays don't fucking care about shitholes outside of their Great Wall. They even left industrial Manchuria in ruins just like Detroit in USA.

The entire Indo-Pacific is rallying against China's expansionist aggression. Even Vietnam is cooperating with the US against China now. The Philippines turned its back on Beijing last year as well.

Simply because China is the only country powerful enough to break American-led world order.
Forget about India and Brazil. These countries are too weak.
China is an industrial superpower and they are tired of working for lazy, fat American asses.
Hence they are building an alternative world order themselves.

I wouldn't say aggressively, quite the opposite. They do it little by little, slowly but surely

Then why are the vast majority of its 1.4 billion citizens impoverished, and why does it have lots of infrastructural flaws? It has lots of problems regarding pollution, sanitation, and quality of life, with backwards eating habits and public defecation. Mortality rates are much higher in China than in the West, and Chinese society is still a very patriarchal one like other Third World countries. China was also setback 40 years by the Cultural Revolution and the Great Leap Forward, both of which were disastrous programs, and had Mao been a little more sane, China would have standards comparable to that of Eastern Europe today.

Answer: Communism. Chinese average IQ is higher than Europe, or mostly equal to. However they don't seem to have the same amount of geniuses or creativity, high culture.

But the definition of "third world" doesn't have anything to do with wealth or poverty really. China is "second world".
