Only a minority of Southern Europeans may be mistaken as MENA, particularly northern MENAs ( Armenian, Syrian, Azerbaijani, Turkish, to a lesser extent Lebanese). By Southern Europeans, I mean from Portugal all across to Albania and Greece. Most Southern Europeans by far look «White» or European just with their particular Southern European features and pigmentation.

Hey! Stop being a jerk! If you read well, I said that the vast majority of Southern Europeans look pretty much what they are, Europeans!!! It is only a minority which could pass as MENA. This is linked to the geographical location as Southern Europe forms Europe's southern border and also history. Ethnic Belgians are North - West Europeans, thus a removed location from Southern Europe. The minority of people in Belgium, who pass as MENAs are MENA themselves, immigrants from Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and so on. This is just a fact, nothing to always be a jerk about. Study your geography again look where Belgium is , then look where Spain is. It is time for you to grow up, and stop being a childish Iberian! I did not say that Southern Europeans are MENAs. Please read the main question.

From my experience they tend to guess us actually more northern then we actually are, so not MENA but somewhere in between of southern and central countries in Europe. Was guessed as German, Pole or Dutch while not being even close to their looks.

No. Southern Europeans have distinct facial features which are typically Southern European, and other features they share with Northern or Central Europeans. A person of Northern European who is really not used to see Southern Europeans on regular basis, might make that mistake, because they might associate darker pigmentation than Northern Europe as MENA. This is due to unfamiliarity.
