Default How do you see left wing or right wing politics?

Using right as an example to keep it simple...

Someone says "this is right wing" or "I am right wing" do you assume:

1)they are generally anything from center-right to far-right?

    or

2)they are something stuck between center-right and far-right?

    or

    3)something else?

    Left-wing: Woke subversive types

Centrist: Socially moderate/center-left with variable stances on economics

    Right-wing: traditionalists and white nationalists

Too much tribalism these days, on both sides. Its ruining politics.

I am making my own choices and I support what I personally agree with. I support some things that are considered left-wing and I support some things that are considered right-wing.

And as you can guess it makes me very unpopular with both sides. But tribalist politics have to be rejected, even if it makes you unpopular.

Listen, I support the preservation of European peoples. They make up only 10% of the world population and their numbers are falling while the numbers of non-European peoples are rapidly increasing. That would put me in the right side of the spectrum, but I don't care as long as the Europeans are still alive and thriving.

I call myself generally “Conservative”, but largely Independent politically. I do believe a nation needs to have its strength and its defense, so I do not call myself Libertarian either..

The left-wing has homogenized much more in recent years...I don’t think I need to say what they’re about; we all know.

I see the left-wing as endorsed by the party that traditionally supported segregation and slavery before turning 180 five decades ago, while right-wing as endorsed by the party that not only freed the slaves by ensured equal opportunity for everyone.

Virtually all of the segregationist lawmakers switched allegiances so it's disingenuous to pin that on the modern democratic party. Modern Republicans are their spiritual successors
