My late stepfather was protestant so I have attended as many Lutheran masses, as Catholic masses. I have only been to one Greek Orthodox Easter mass, about 10y ago with a Greek friend.
From a theological point of view Cath. and Orth. are much closer, but one doesn't really feel it when there. The linguistc barrier is a huge difference, I don't think there is Orthodox service beeing conducted in my native German, so from that pov alone Cath. and Luth. are much closer. I also felt one had to do a little more as an attendee one had to do a little more at Cath. and Luth. service than in that single Orth. easter mass I attended. The latter was way more mysterious though with the whole church beeing dark, only the priests had some candle light, it was a really nice atmosphere.

I would wager that it depends a little on what kind of Protestantism we are talking about. Lutheranism and Anglicanism are closer to Roman Catholicism than Baptist and Calvinist churches are.

Catholicism and Protestantism are both Western Christianity, while Orthodoxy is Eastern Christianity. This means that the latter celebrate Christmas and Easter during different dates f.e. Catholicism share in common with Orthodoxy that they both view themselves as the true church founded by Jesus and His apostles.

    Generally speaking, the Orthodox.

Because in Protestantism only like Lutherans, because the other 512518561 thousands of sects that emerged with the Protestant reform only dirty the image of Christianity.

In 19th century it was good dialogue between Anglican and Orthodox Churches. For exaample orthodox clerics could conduct the funeral service of anglican person or anglicans could be married in Orthodox Church. Anglican Church were ready to begin process of unification with Orthodoxes but big part of their clerics were against icon veneration, veneration of Saint Mary and other Saints. In 20th century Anglican-Orthodox Joint Doctrinal Comission was founded and concluded some agreed statements but due to liberalization of Anglican Church seriousness of the dialogue became lower. So Anglicanism closer to Orthodoxy?)))

Russians have analogs of Protestants like Molokane, Dukhobory e.t.c. but they are not Western.

Catholicism and Protestantism are both lumped as Western Christianity: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wester..._denominations

Though there's also Eastern Catholicism, so it's not black and white, I guess.
