I think one advantage might be that Russian has virtually no dialect at all and is the most commonly spoken Slavic language (many sources). People often told me that French is one of the most standardised cultures in language. Nonsense. Russian is that and way more, but I assume there are many layers of sociolect still.

Not that I'm an expert, but I'm not blind when I see Russians tending to write their language very properly.

Seems to be a universal problem. Modern technology and the internet makes the acquisition of knowledge easier than ever, yet mankind struggles in using it well. The human brain gets easily distracted and too many teachers are burnt out. The old school intellectual teacher seems to be more and more a thing of the past.

I think the quality of education available to wide masses is lowered intentionally. They don't want competition. That is also so with introduction of "distant education" which has obvious and unrepairable flaws.

I still am young/old enough to have noticed a sharp divide between old guard teacher versus the new generation. In fact, some of my elementary school teachers were far superior than any high school or college teacher I have enjoyed. They were men in their late 50s still with an old fashioned way of teaching, and more disciplined.

We also notice how YT and Google are censoring more and more.

For a Polish person, her Russian is not very good. These English guys may be speaking better.
