"Wearing feelings on our faces while our faces took a rest
We walked across the fields to see the children of the West
But we saw a host of dark skinned warriors
Standing still below the ground,
Waiting for battle!" (Supper’s Ready, Genesis)

Look what I'm talking about. African Americans have a MEI of 49.5 according to this (look for the very first yellow part/stats). Black Brazilians' MEI is 50.6 according to your source.

In other words, both groups seem to be about the same when it comes to skin complexion. I do think Black Brazilians look more mixed when it comes to facial features and hair texture though (since they have more points of caucasoid and more amerindian). Weather/climate is probably another factor why Black Brazilian look as dark. Put them under USA north of Georgia and see how they will lightened up. It happens to Black Dominicans as well.

I really doubt It maybe but some minimal points. Costas and other Chilean guys like Nordonjkagdhha (something) probably have done a good job portraying Chile as white possible.
But Chile, Costa Rica, Colombia and Paraguay , Isn't really any different between Northern-West-Central Mexico , where the majority of the population lives.

Average Chilean is indeed Mestizo, but our country isn't homogeneous as you guy may think. Most Chileans live in two specific regions and both are strongly multicultural.
