    Default Women of the Outer Hebrides (Circa 1941)

    Just came across this clip of these women doing a waulking song. These are traditional songs in the Gaelic language while beating newly woven tweed or tartan cloth to soften it. A bygone time as the practice of course no longer exists. This might possibly be the Isle of Lewis but I'm not sure.
