That's right. I noticed André Silva has a ton of goals this season for Frankfurt (22 goals, one more than Haaland at the moment). I don't know if he improved as a player but from what i know of him in the portuguese league i never rated him too much. In the national team he is 5th choice for forward behind Cristiano Ronaldo, Diogo Jota, Bernardo Silva (who isn't even a proper striker) and João Félix who is having a very poor season.

Not taking anything away from Haaland though, he is at 34 goals in 37 matches for Dortmund so far.

Portugal is favorite to win this summer Euros if you ask me (defend the title actually ). You're currently best team in Europe and play better without CR!

Mbappe. I think he is more versatile, influential and complete, BUT I do rate Haaland technique (first touch, general touch, carrying ability) a bit higher, Mbappe is more about speed and even if Haaland is also about speed, I do think he is somewhat more refined as a footballer, probably it is a few shared impression I know, but is what I think for now seeing a little of both.

I still think Mbappe is the best player though.

This is totally true. Haaland does contribute defensively, in that aspect Ibra was extremely lazy player with 0 contribution.

Haaland is a deadlier finisher but Mbappe is more talented overall, both are playing on elite level. Mbappe is destroying big teams in the UCL being a Ballon d'Or contender right now.

Haaland is a super striker. Undervaluing his goals because he plays in a minor league is unfair, first because the Bundelisga is not let say the Zambian league, and second because Haaland has scored 10 goals in Champions League this season. And scoring, and so, in Champions League is not a random joke.

People should opine the same about Lewandoski, Mbappé, or in their times about Ronaldo the Fat, Van Nistelrooy or Luis Suárez when they played in a much more minor league as the Eredivisie is

If I was Perez I'd go for Mbappe. I can really imagine him in a Madrid shirt under Zidane. He idolised Cristiano from a young age so it is probably his childhood dream playing there. PSG-Real Madrid final in the UCL this year would be interesting to see what goes down so who knows. Like someone has said replied Haaland's technique is superb and his goalscoring record cannot be overlooked. From what I seen Mbappe was really good in the first game against Bayern. Either would be an expensive but good addition to a team.
